Divestment Theory was originally a colonial device deployed in an exploitative system.
If you jump ship and align yourself with that system in order to gain greater proximity to White Privileges no matter your gender you’re validating a system designed to get that result.
Its adoption in modern society carries those same undertones from centuries of exploitation, sexual violence, and murder.
It is simply incompatible with Pro-Blackness and it’s a conflict of interests.
It is a reaction to the Colonial Structure but it is the adoption of White Supremacy.
It disguises inferiority as preference. “Preference” under oppression is rarely free. It is programmed. When divestment is framed as personal choice, it conceals the social engineering that produced the desire for whiteness and rejection of Blackness.
