Is Blackness defined by ancestry, culture, phenotype, lived experience, or something else?
Does DNA percentages make someone Black or is it rooted in lineage and shared struggle?
Should community determine it or institutions like the government, the census, or corporations?
Do you only consider Black American with connection to BA history Black? If someone does have the lineage but doesn’t “look” it, or was raised within the culture , are they not? Do you considered biracial or biethnic people black?
Does Black simply mean African? Is Nigerian or Haitian culture Black culture or a black culture?
At what point does the term lose its meaning from overextension? Who really gets to define Black identity?
