Wabbaism refers to the emulation of Black American culture by non-Black American individuals without any historical or communal ties esp by African and Caribbean groups. Unlike mere appreciation, it becomes a performative identity that risks reducing Black American culture to a mere aesthetic. It resembles weebism in its competitive nature, disregarding genuine cultural belonging.
